Wear A Mask

Talk about mixed messages. Wear a mask. Don’t wear a mask.  Save the masks for medical professionals.  Only wear a mask if you’re feeling symptoms.  Wear a mask if you have an underlying condition.   Wear a mask if you work in a store.   Don’t wear a mask or people will assume you’ve got the virus.   It was unclear and people were shaming people left and right.   The man at the pizzeria is wearing a mask…..thankfully…I will buy pizza there because I feel safe.   The man at the liquor store isn’t wearing a mask…..I’m never going back there.  Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Well, now they’re mandatory, not to say it’s still not being argued about.  People are now going out and reporting back on how many were or weren’t wearing them. If they’re more than 6 feet away from you, you don’t have to wear them– Unless they get within 6 feet, then you have to hurry and put it on!  An empty park is only empty when you’re the first one there….within minutes there will be others because it’s a park and it’s not yours, even if you were there first!  So, the lesson is, have the mask and use it, for everyone’s safety.  It’s too exhausting to argue about.

I’ve decided to share some vendors who have some nice masks for sale.  While I am no expert on masks, I have this graphic that gives some info on which masks are effective. The N95 masks are the American standard while the KN95 masks are the Chinese standard and are being used similarly.

The masks I am sharing, are different in terms of quality and protection, so I suggesting asking questions before buying, so you know what you’re getting.  I believe some vendors are sewing fabric over a surgical mask for it to look nicer than the light blue you’ve seen in the doctor’s offices.   I can’t vouch for them as I have not seen ALL of them in person; many but not all.    The ones I’m sharing are more for fun or use over another kind of mask.  I can’t guarantee that they will protect you from the germs that cause the virus.
